Dear ONA Members,
Voting on which union will represent allied health professionals at Health Sciences North (HSN) concluded on Wednesday evening.
All ballots except for 14 have been counted and ONA is pleased to have the majority of the votes.
A final decision on the results of this Public Sector Labour Relations Transition Act (PSLRTA) vote has not been made by the Ontario Labour Relations Board (Labour Board) at this time.
While ONA is the union of choice thus far, there is still a dispute about the counting of the 14 ballots, and, until this is determined, the outcome of the vote won’t be finalized.
We are inspired by the tremendous show of support for ONA and we will continue to represent you while the Labour Board process to finalize the results unfolds.
We will do all we can to push for a speedy resolution.
Thank you to the members and prospective members who volunteered during this campaign, working so hard to get the word out about all that our great union has to offer.
